Personal
Since this is my personal webpage, here's some random information about me!
- I often think about how technology and science will change the world in the most radical ways. A fan of science fiction and futurology; favorite authors: G. Egan, R. Kurzweil, K. E. Drexler, V. Vinge, M. Tegmark.
- I love learning about other disciplines: astrophysics, cosmology, particle physics, space exploration, evolutionary biology, human longevity, solar energy.
- My favorite hobby is motor racing, both watching (Formula 1, rally) and racing myself. I like go-karting (in 2013 I took 2nd place in a regional Red Bull Kart Fight) and I occasionally attend track days with my car at Willow Springs and Buttonwillow.
- In 2013 I founded a startup building custom mobile apps for delivery businesses.
- I am most proficient with C++, C#, and Python, but here’s a (probably incomplete) list of programming languages I have ever used to write a non-trivial program: Pascal, C, Delphi, C++, Assembler, Lua, Brainfuck, Forth, Objective-C, JS, C#, Java, Python, Scala, Ruby, F#, Bash, Prolog, TypeScript.
- My favorite video games are Half-Life 2 (and Half-Life Alyx!), Heroes of Might and Magic III, Team Fortress 2, Quake 3, WoW Classic.
- I listen to all kinds of music, but my all-time favorite is the Swedish band Opeth.
